Ein moderner Piratenfilm über unsere bigotte Haltung zur sogenannten Dritten Welt.
Heute lebt und arbeitet er in Berlin und Tarifa als Filmemacher und Fotograf.
Die Trennung der verschiedenen Film-Departments sieht er früh als eine Möglichkeit,
nicht als etwas Zwingendes. Die aufkommende Filmindustrie brachte die Trennung mit sich.
Doch die Leidenschaft zum Film macht nicht an den unterschiedlichen Gewerken halt.
So vereint er, wie auch etliche Independentfilmer vor ihm,
das Organisatorische und Künstlerische in einer Person.
Er ist bekannt für sein Improvisationstalent und seine familiären Filmsets.
I grew up in East Berlin, Germany and now call Tarifa in Andalucia home as well as Berlin.
As an independent filmmaker I do absolutely love my profession and everything that comes with it.
Appreciating to meet people, the places I go, the hours I keep, and the spontaneity in every shoot.
The raw reality of everyday life I do observe, the fleeting beauty of those in-between moments,
and I do my very best to take every picture with that in mind.
I want the viewers to relate to my pictures through recognition of and familiarity with the situations,
the emotions and the energy so much that they wonder if they are looking at a picture
of someone they know.
